Sciatica Treatment

The Pain from the Sciatic Nerve Can Be Hard to Ignore

Sciatica is usually caused when a bone spur or herniated disk in the spine puts pressure on the sciatic nerve.

Sciatica is a painful condition caused by irritation or inflammation of the sciatic nerve. If you suffer from sciatic pain, you know how disruptive it can be to your life.

The sciatic nerve is the largest and longest spinal nerve in the human body and is located in the lower lumbar region of the spine. So when one is suffering with sciatic pain, it can be hard to ignore. The pain typically originates in the spine and radiates down the back of one or both legs. Our office uses a variety of singular and/or combined therapies to alleviate pain caused by Sciatica. Because our doctors take an individualized approach to treating this condition, we will not treat Sciatica with a blanket or band-aid fix such as medication or surgery.

Helping Sciatica without Medication

Since sciatica can be caused by various conditions, the treatment for sciatica is varied. The individualized approach at Advanced Medical can provide the custom treatment program for your condition.

Our goal is to get to the root of our patients pain and solve the underlying issue for a more permanent solution.

From Our Patients

“I am blessed to have found this place. My feet were numb and now I have regained the feeling almost completely. My doctor was going to add more medication that had side-effects and I didn’t want that. The treatment is worth the effort and cost. I feel I now have a better quality of life and will be able to maintain my independence much longer! Thanks to this group which made it fun!”

Judy A.

“When I started coming to Advanced Medical of Nashville I had the pain and the stabbing needles and the imbalance that Neuropathy causes. Due to these treatments, I no longer have balance problems! I do not fall down anymore. I can walk so much better and I can tell that slowly the pins and needles are going away. The thing that has really changed is I am no longer dependent on a walking stick and I don’t have to worry about falling down!”

P. Ingram

“My feet used to hurt so bad most days, I couldn’t hardly walk, especially up and down stairs. My hands hurt every day as well. I am now walking up and down stairs easier after 5 weeks (at AMN). My hands and feet are less painful and I am not taking Gabapentin anymore either!”

“Since coming to Advanced Medical, there has been a noticeable decrease in pain associated with my neuropathy. Additionally, as the pain level recedes, the numbness in my toes and heels is beginning to subside as well. I must admit, I was looking for ‘instant gratification’ and hoping for tangible evidence of healing in the first couple of visits. But noticeable changes started with the 5th or 6th visit. Patience, as they say, is indeed a virtue while awaiting the miracle that’s happening now and in future visits! All of this is amazing, and just as satisfying is the friendly and caring staff. I’ll miss the staff and therapy when it all comes to a close.”

Robert N.

“(before starting care at AMN) Hurt! (my feet) Numbness, slow throbbing – YUCK! After 6-7 weeks of treatment, I feel very very encouraged! The treatments have initially -slowly, at a good pace – have awoken the nerve endings. I have noticed that my walking has improved – less numbness, good circulation. My hands hurt and ache less. I have more energy! I can walk longer, lift objects and exercise without restrictions. Advanced Medical is wonderful! Treatments are enjoyable, the staff is GREAT!”
